COVENANT PRACTICES FOR SUPERNATURAL WEALTH (part 1)

Text: 2 Chronicles 15: 12, 15; Isaiah 1:19

  • The power for wealth is released on the platform of the covenant.
  • Prosperity or kingdom wealth doesn’t answer to fasting and prayer.
  • It only answers to your understanding and practice of covenant details.
  • A covenant is like a contract deal.
  • It involves two or more people.
  • In this case, it involves you and God.
  • God is the covenantor and you are the covenantee.
  • You are the beneficiary of the deal
  • So all you need then is a good understanding of what the covenant entails or requires you to do and you will be up in abundance.
  • God is a covenant-keeper.
  • His side of every covenant is forever secured.
  • It is our side that is variable (i.e. unstable)
  • When we lay hold on the terms of the covenant that relate to us (i.e. the covenant practices), and apply ourselves to it, God is committed to do His part (i.e. Give us abundance)
  • Let us therefore discover what the covenant practices are.
  • And when we walk in them and do them, our case is settled and supernatural wealth is guaranteed.
  • Covenant wealth cannot answer to you without covenant practices.
  • Just as yam won’t come out of the ground until yam has gone into the earth.
  • What the world call prosperity is how much you have
  • But in the kingdom of God, prosperit is determined by how much you give.
  • The covenant practices for supernatural wealth are ways you release to God in order to receive from Heaven.
  • Giving is living. No seed, No harvest!

  1. Covenant Practice No. 1: First Fruits
§   The first fruit is a major foundational covenant practice.
§   It is your first main seed that goes in to the ground.
§   It is the giving of all the first of all things to God as a sign that you acknowledge His ownership of all things.
§   Whatever you do with your first affect all others.
§   Lev. 23:9-12; Rom. 11:16; Exo. 13:1-2, 11-16
Ø      Your first salary
Ø      Your first Harvest
Ø      Your first income from every labour
Ø      Your first increase in every new level.
Ø      Your first child (to be redeemed with money)
Ø      Your first car (to be redeemed with money)
Ø      Your first house (to be redeemed with money)
Ø      Your first income every year, etc.
Ø      Prov. 3:10 NKJV; Eze. 44:30

  1. Covenant Practice No. 2: Tithing
§  Tithing is another powerful covenant practice for supernatural wealth.
§  Tithing is a systematic release of a tenth of all your increase to God.
§  That is, the giving of 10% of all your income to God.
§  This is a powerful principle that redeems the other 90% and unlocks great blessings upon you.
§  Lev. 27:30; Mal. 3:6-12
§  God has made it clear that tithing is not giving.
§  It is a special portion of your increase which God has reserved for Himself.
§  This 10% portion does not belong to you; it belongs to God and must be given to Him every time He blesses you.
§  It is dangerous to eat up your tithe.
§  Tithing is an inescapable covenant obligation, so don’t try to escape or dodge it.
§  Why? Because you are not actually giving it. It is God’s part of your incomes.
§  Don’t take it, don’t eat it, and don’t touch it.
§  Anyone who despises tithing signs in for poverty, lack and want.
§  Don’t touch it! It is not safe!
§  The practice of tithing had existed before the law was given to Moses.
§  Abraham practiced it, Isaac and Jacob also practiced it.
§  Gen. 13:2; 14:16-23 (Abraham)
§  Gen. 28:19-22 (Jacob)
§  God uses tithing as a means of establishing individuals in their blessings.
§  You either give your tithes willingly to God or He collects it by charging you to His court as a robber where you pay it by force.
§  Mal. 3:8; Prov. 6:30-31
§  Paying your tithe does not enrich God or does it enrich a pastor.
§  It is in order for you to secure your covenant destiny with Him.
§  Supernatural prosperity is impossible without tithing.
§  Tithing does not only guarantee you a blessing, it also establishes an insurance against the wicked arrows of life.
§  No one survives the curse of God.
§  God said, the man who robs Him of His tithe is cursed with a curse.
§  If you are not a tither, things won’t stop being tithe for you. Why?
§  Because the windows of heaven will remain shut and no blessing will come.

  1. Covenant Practice No. 3: Offerings
§  Never come into God’s presence in any church service or fellowship empty-handed (Deut. 16:16-17)
§  Giving of offering is one of God’s strategies to terminate your sufferings. How?

§  Your giving releases from heaven a rain of ideas and the power to carry out those ideas.

UP TO THE NEXT LEVEL

Text: Isaiah 40:30 – 31
·        The key to moving up to another or a higher level in life, business and career is renewal. Isa.40:31
·        Another word for renewal is repositioning. That is to adjust.
·        This is the secrete of the ageless exploit of eagle.
·        The eagle reposition itself for the next level by adjusting certain qualities for better performance.
·        To reposition yourself for your next level
QUALITIES OF THE EAGLE

5.                  Speed: (swiftness).
§  This also means to be quick.
§  The early birds get the worm.
§  To be swift is to move quickly within a short time in a smooth and easy way.
§  If you can’t move fast, you will be moved out fast.
§  As quick action and quick response win in life.
§  1st Samuel 17:48.

6.                  Strength: (power and effectiveness).
§  The eagle is a strong bird as it can carry an object that is twice its own weight.

GROWING IN GRACE

2nd Timothy 2:1- 3
·        Grace is God’s help available to man
·        Grace is God’s ingredients for a man’s dividends
·        Grace spells your assignment
·        Grace gives expression to your dreams and vision
·        Grace makes your voice to be heard
·        Grace helps you to raise people
·        Grace is a divine enablement to produce uncommon, unusual and unexplainable result.
·        Through grace a teenage boy killed a 9ft giant
·        Through grace a prisoner became a prime minister
·        Through grace a slave girl become the queen of the land
·        Nothing can be added to what grace has done,
·        Grace can be increased, grace can wax stronger. Act 9:22
·        More of grace is more of strength
·        You cannot impact more than your grace.
·        Your exploit will only be commensurate with your level of grace.
·        Prov. 4:18 “The path of the just is as the shining light that shinneth more and more unto the perfect day”.
·        2nd Cor. 3:18 “But we all with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the spirit of the Lord”.
·        There is always a higher dimension in God.
·        May you enter the higher dimension of grace today.
·        More of grace is more of the manifestation of glory
·        Isa. 37:1-7, this is a tragedy and the most dangerous thing in life.
·        Lack of strength is lack of grace
·        Sometimes people know what to do but no grace to carry it out.
·        That is, there is no money, no people, no opportunity, no space, and no partners.
·        Where there is more grace, strength must be present.
·        Grace makes expectations to be realities.
·        You need grace and more grace to bring forth your dreams, vision, ministry, marriage, career, etc
·        You need divine energy that comes through the grace of God to bring forth new things in life and ministry
·        Zionhill Church International, this is the era of MORE GRACE.
·        Because Grace will locate you where what you need will be available.
·        The same thing Paul told Timothy i.e. be strong in grace was what God told Joshua in Jos. 1:6 – 7 “be strong and be of a good courage”.
WHAT TO DO TO GROW IN GRACE
1.      Daily appointment of fellowship with God.
Grace does not come before needs.
It comes when and where there is need for it.
You must come and show that you need more grace.
Psalm 68:19 …He daily leads us with benefits.
There is a new supply of grace for every day.
Lam. 3:22, 23

2.      The studying of God’s word.
·        2nd Timothy 4:2  “preach the word, be instant in season, out of season, reprove, rebuke, exhort. With all long suffering and doctrine”.
·        You must expose yourself to God’s word and allow it work in your life if you will grow in grace.
·        2nd Peter 1:2 – 4.

3.      Strong, effective and consistent prayer life.
·        This must be cultivated.
·        Prayer is labour. Acts 4:31 – 33.
·        Grace will meet the needs of people.

4.      Obey the law of total depended to God.

5.      Be meek and humble.

6.      Be ready to step into the unknown not the unclear.
·        Certain grace will not manifest in your life until you’re ready to take the risk.
·        Peter never knew he can walk on the water until he dared it. Matt.14

7.      Walk in purity (Job 17:9)

8.      Honour grace.

·        Both on others and on your own life.
